Aesopian Language conveys an innocent meaning to outsiders but has a concealed meaning to informed members of an advisarial group. It is based in reference to Aesop's Fables and refers to the idea that certain language use works to suppress concepts or keep them out of the general discourse, or to possibly prevent undesirable questions from arising.
